1999 - the introduction
The charitative initiative Airborne Beer came into being on the occasion of the 55th commemoration of the battle. On the 21st August 1999 the then Burgomaster of Renkum, Mr. J.W. Verlinden was presented with the first bottle of Airborne Beer at the Airborne Museum Hartenstein in Oosterbeek.
